Job Overview

Coastal Pipeline Inc is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Foreman to lead and manage underground utility construction crews. This is a leadership role ideal for someone with deep field expertise in underground utilities, heavy equipment operation, and crew supervision. The Foreman will be responsible for daily field operations, maintaining job site safety, and ensuring project quality and efficiency from start to finish.

With three generations of knowledge and more than 120 years of combined experience in estimating and field supervision, we pride ourselves on delivering expert services in water distribution, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, fire suppression, and sitework. Our trusted relationships with engineers, general contractors, municipalities, and owners are built on decades of integrity and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead crews on underground utility construction projects (sanitary sewer, storm drainage, water mains, fire lines, and dewatering systems).
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and front-end loaders safely and efficiently.
  • Transport trailers and equipment as required for field operations.
  • Interpret construction plans and establish grade using laser beams and levels.
  • Maintain OSHA compliance on all jobs, with special attention to trench safety and confined space regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with inspectors, general contractors, and team members.
  • Track on-site material inventory and usage.
  • Maintain accurate daily field reports, crew timesheets, and documentation of safety meetings.
  • Oversee maintenance of jobsite tools and machinery, including compactors, saws, and vehicles.
  • Foster a safe, productive, and professional team environment.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in underground utility construction.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficiency in operating excavators, loaders, and other utility equipment.
  • Ability to read construction plans and set grades using laser leveling equipment.
  • OSHA certifications in trench safety and confined space entry required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain organized field documentation.
  • Commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Schedule

  • Full-Time, Monday-Friday
  • Standard 8-hour shifts
