IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to provide technical support to the Tactical Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (TUAS) Project Office. This role is critical to the successful acquisition and fielding of multiple next-generation UAS capabilities for the U.S. Army.

Job Duties:

  • Provide expertise in the development, integration, testing, and deployment of software components for the portfolio of systems managed by the Tactical Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (TUAS) Product Office.
  • Work closely with government program managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure software solutions meet rigorous industry and military standards, such as DoDAF, MOSA, SOSA, FACE; achieve authority to operate (ATO) and Army Interoperability Certification (AIC) requirements for deplorability; and meet Army operational requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with TUAS personnel, PM UAS and PEO functionals and staff, prime contractors and suppliers, user representatives, and Army airworthiness personnel.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and briefings to senior management describing program status, issues, analyses, findings, results, recommendations, and conclusions as appropriate.
  • Provide technical guidance and reverse mentorship to a team of software and cybersecurity engineers, engineering leads, and Product Office leadership.
  • Analyze system requirements and translate them into software specifications.
  • Oversee the integration of software components with hardware systems and conduct thorough testing (unit, integration, system, and user acceptance) to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive software documentation, including design documents, test plans, and user manuals.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and cybersecurity specialists.
  • Support the full acquisition lifecycle, from concept development and prototyping to production and fielding.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Education and General Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Software, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Computer Engineering or Computer Science,)
  • Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of System Engineering.
  • Experience in a non-DoD industry experience required.
  • Some Army acquisition experience desired.
  • Secret Security Clearance
