As a Therapeutic Mentor, you will provide high-quality, structured one-on-one and group support services to youth within a school setting. Your work will help youth develop age-appropriate social, emotional, and behavioral skills that support their overall well-being and academic success.
You Will
- Facilitate social skills, conflict resolution, and anger management groups
- Deliver individualized coaching and skill-building to support behavioral health goals
- Collaborate with care teams, including clinicians and educational staff, to align on strategies
- Participate in Care Planning Team (CPT) meetings and communicate progress regularly
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and contacts
- Ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards and billing practices
- Support students with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) in school and community settings
- Required: High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience working with youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED)
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, education, or related field
- Experienced in group facilitation and youth engagement
- Skilled in behavioral coaching and strength-based intervention strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Culturally competent and comfortable working with diverse populations
- Knowledgeable of community resources and youth support services
- Able to work independently in school and community environments
