Data Analyst

EC Source, a MasTec company within the Power Delivery Segment, is seeking a Data Analyst who is passionate, self-motivated, and eager to make an impact in the accounting and finance areas of our business.

In this role, you’ll mine, collect, and analyze data to improve operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making across all levels of the organization. You will be responsible for creating, querying databases, loading, and maintaining dashboards for the organization. Your work will directly influence compliance, quality, process adherence, and cost-benefit analysis—while helping us identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Deliver Analytical Solutions Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and build data-driven solutions that enhance decision-making. Apply your finance and accounting expertise to develop best-in-class analytics.
• Model and Restructure Data Work with diverse data sources and use SQL to reshape and optimize datasets for analysis. You’ll be supported by technical resources but expected to operate independently.
• Visualize Insights Create high-quality, performance-driven dashboards and reports using Power BI or equivalent tools. Your visualizations will follow best practices and meet specific business needs.
• Analyze and Recommend Conduct deep-dive analyses, test hypotheses, and uncover trends. Clearly articulate the business impact of your findings and provide actionable recommendations.
• Communicate Effectively Lead requirements-gathering conversations, ask the right questions, and present your findings in a clear, compelling way. Train stakeholders on decision-support tools and ensure solutions align with their goals.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within accounting or finance
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
• A passion for driving change and decision-making through data
  
  

Technical Skills

• Intermediate proficiency in SQL or equivalent database querying
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and Office applications
