About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive and hands-on Controller to lead our accounting operations and financial reporting functions. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is a key strategic partner in shaping the financial future of our privately held company.

As Controller, you’ll not only oversee daily accounting operations but also collaborate with leadership to refine financial strategy, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements that position our business for long-term growth.

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, overseeing staff accountants and AP/AR functions
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Analyze budget-to-actual performance and present insights to senior leadership
• Partner with business leaders to update forecasts and support strategic planning
• Design and implement financial policies, reporting systems, and process improvements
• Manage treasury functions, audits (internal & external), and regulatory compliance
• Facilitate smooth collaboration between shared services and core business units

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in a privately held, fast-paced, or industrial/energy-related company a plus
