Summary
The Program Director, Energy Management is responsible for planning, regulating, and monitoring the energy use of the organization to ensure comfortable environment. Develops strategies and implements programs to reduce the organizations utility consumption and spending; through demand site management, rebates, incentives, new construction, utility set-up, researching new programs, rate adjustment and bill audits. They oversee and monitor energy purchasing, deregulation activities, energy contracts, benchmarking. This role will track and report the performance of Lee Health Facilities and influence all energy programs managers to improve energy efficiency through careful evaluation of the organization's energy use and the implementation of energy-saving measures. Develops, implements and oversees energy awareness system wide. Responsible for programing the Building Automation Systems (BAS) database and sequences of operation, monitors, troubleshoots, and refines the BAS. Routinely modifies programing and graphics as necessary to accurately reflect building and equipment changes.
Requirements
Education:Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Management or related fields, and/or a combination of five years education /experience in energy management, energy audits, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), electrical mechanical process improvement or related areas.
Experience: 10 years of experience or any combination of training and experience equal to or greater than described above.

Other: In-depth knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems (HVAC), lighting system and operation of utility system.) A strong understanding of electrical engineering and mechanical systems, as well as prior experience managing organizational energy use. Work in mechanical/boiler rooms, on rooftops and in underground areas. Have interpersonal and communication skills that is strong enough to explain the energy use plan to affected parties.
