Summary

The Regulatory Quality Control Specialist II is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act, and Flood Regulations from National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). This position involves monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on regulatory compliance, conducting audits, and providing guidance to internal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with HMDA, Section 1071, and Flood Regulations.
  • Monitors changes in relevant regulations and update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Conducts regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepares and submits required regulatory reports and filings.
  • Develops and implements quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Reviews and validates data submissions for HMDA and Section 1071 reporting.
  • Conducts internal audits to identify and rectify discrepancies in data and processes.
  • Provides training and support to internal teams on regulatory requirements and quality control processes.
  • Serves as a subject-matter expert on HMDA, Section 1071, and Flood Regulations.
  • Assists in the development of training materials and compliance documentation.
  • Identifies potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborates with risk management and legal teams to address compliance issues.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality control and assurance, data analysis and validation, risk management, and training and development.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of HMDA, Section 1071, and Flood Regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in regulatory reporting software and data analysis tools.


Education And/Or Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance or quality control required
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
