Since its establishment in 1941, the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University (IU) has grown from a small university teaching collection into 1 of the foremost university art museums in the country. A preeminent teaching museum, its internationally acclaimed collection includes more than 47,000 objects representing nearly every art-producing culture throughout history. Collection areas include African art, ancient art, Asian art, global contemporary art, European and American Art, Indigenous art, Oceanic art, and prints, drawings, and photography.
The Sydney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Art is proud to introduce our new Student Advisory Board. The program is designed to welcome students interested in art and museums, and all majors are encouraged to apply.

If selected, board members will serve for an entire academic year with the option to be reappointed for up to 2 additional years. The board shall have no more than 8 members.

Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Learn about the function of the museum and offer input for staff members in terms of programming, exhibitions, and ways that the museum can interact with the campus community
- Meet monthly and help facilitate event planning and work cross-departmentally
- Complete the program with knowledge of museum and nonprofit functions as well as skills applicable across a range of careers
- May work directly with the public

- Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
