What You'll Do
This customer-focused role works primarily in the Prepared Foods/Deli department, supporting the quality, freshness, and presentation of our housemade offerings. Success in this role requires a growth mindset, teamwork, and dedication to excellent food service.
This position requires a consistent schedule which may include opening, mid-shift, and closing shifts, with regular weekend and holiday availability.
Starting Wage: $14/hr
Negotiable based on experience
Prepared Foods/Deli Clerk
What You'll Do
- Provide outstanding customer service at the deli counter and self-service food areas
- Prepare made-to-order sandwiches and portion housemade deli sides
- Set up, stock, and maintain the soup and salad bar
- Slice meats and cheeses to customer specifications
- Prep and roast rotisserie chickens
- Wash, cut, and prepare fresh vegetables and ingredients
- Stock housemade grab-and-go foods and ensure displays are full and appealing
- Maintain sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness standards in all work areas
- Verifiable work experience with reliable attendance and commitment
- Previous kitchen, deli, or food service experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Familiarity with organic and natural foods a plus
- Ability to follow portion guidelines and food safety practices
- Attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform assigned tasks
- Ability to read and speak English and perform basic arithmetic
