About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptual Design: Develop mechanical system design concepts aligned with project requirements and industry standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure designs meet client expectations, company standards, and integrate effectively with other MEP systems.
- Site Surveys: Conduct surveys and assessments to evaluate existing conditions and inform system coordination.
- Client Collaboration: Partner with clients, architects, and other engineers to develop tailored solutions.
- Project Management: Assist in managing schedules, budgets, and resources to deliver successful projects.
- Supervision: Guide and oversee junior engineers, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
- Technical Support: Provide timely expertise during all project phases, from design to construction.
- Code Compliance: Ensure systems comply with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare and review specifications, drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 7+ years in mechanical engineering, ideally with an MEP consulting firm.
- License: Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Supervisory Experience: Required.
- Project Management Experience: Preferred.
- Proficiency in HVAC design and analysis software (AutoCAD, Revit, Energy Pro, etc.).
- Knowledge of air conditioning, heating, ventilation, plumbing, fire protection (plumbing expertise strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and sustainable design practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while balancing technical, time, and budgetary requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership: Able to supervise, mentor, and motivate design teams.
- Collaboration: Team-oriented, able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, comfortable interfacing with clients and stakeholders.
- Emotional Intelligence: Builds trust and long-lasting client relationships through empathy and clear communication.
