- Participate with preschool-aged children in fun and creative activities
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Always ensure the safety and well-being of children
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
- Communicate with parents regarding children’s daily activities and interactions with other children
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Assisting children when necessary regarding dressing, toileting and/or diapering needs, and making sure all children have clean hands, face, and diapers
- Consistently interacting in a positive developmentally appropriate way with the children; role modeling appropriate behavior and language for children
- Ensures that classroom is consistently clean, safe, and organized
- Follow all Bridgewater childcare policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
- Previous experience with diapering and feeding infants, 3 -18 months
- Ability to create a fun and engaging environment for children
- Passionate about working with children and ability to build rapport with children
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Proven experience as an infant preschool teacher or experience in early childhood education
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Patient, friendly and reliable
- Current certification in adult/child and infant CPR/AED and First Aid
