This isn’t just button-pushing. You’ll be hands-on with high-tech equipment that mixes, packs, and moves the fertilizer and ice melt products that keep lawns lush and sidewalks/driveways safe. - Keep the bagging equipment running at peak efficiency.
- Perform routine repairs and support the maintenance team with major fixes.
- Communicate equipment status and issues to the shift supervisor and maintenance team.
- Ensure all weighing systems are correctly calibrated and that product weights meet packaging specs.
- Confirm that the packaging and labels match the correct materials and are free of contaminants.
- Inspect final packaging for clean appearance, accurate stacking, and pallet readiness.
- Verify the correct application and blending of any chemical additives.
- Maximize production output while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Set up the automated bagging line to quickly and accurately fill and seal packaging.
- Ensure proper functioning of the sealing unit.
- Monitor the reject conveyor and address issues promptly to minimize waste.
- Load pallets and ensure they are placed correctly on the input elevator.
- Assist in cleaning material handling, piping, and screeners as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Accurately log any downtime or quality issues.
- Follow procedures outlined in Automated Bag Line Procedure (Q-0110) for detailed instructions.
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Automated Bagging Machine Operator to set up and run our automated bagging machines and palletizer. You’ll keep a close eye on the production schedule, double-check labels and materials, and make sure every bag that goes out the door is spot-on.
You’ll also jump in to help wherever needed—flexibility is key—as directed by the shift supervisor to help us hit our production goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and operate automated bagging machines and palletizing systems
- Monitor the production schedule and verify materials, bags, and labels are accurate
- Ensure packaging quality, consistency, and accuracy
- Assist in other production roles as needed to meet team goals

Schedule Details:
This is a second-shift position during Fall/Winter/Spring, working:
Monday–Thursday, 2:30 PM – 1:30 AM
