Position Overview

The Finance Intern will work closely with the Finance team on various financial activities, including data analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting. This role provides hands-on experience in finance and accounting processes, offering a unique opportunity to learn and contribute within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing financial reports, analyzing data, and providing insights on financial performance, profitability, and cash flow.
  • Budgeting Support: Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including gathering data, inputting information into financial models, and assisting with variance analysis.
  • Data Entry & Validation: Input financial data into ERP (SAP or similar system) accurately and ensure data consistency and accuracy across reports.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor departmental expenses, analyze spending trends, and highlight any discrepancies or areas for cost-saving.
  • Financial Modeling: Assist in creating financial models for potential investments, business projects, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Work on special projects, such as market research or competitor analysis, as assigned by the Manager.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and suggest improvements for finance processes, such as data handling, reporting efficiency, or cost-saving measures.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain organized documentation of financial records for audit readiness.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry, financial calculations, and reporting.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) is required; experience with ERP systems like SAP and financial modeling software is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey insights clearly and work well within a team.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ethics & Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
