The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join the opening culinary team of Polo Pony, our elevated American cuisine concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This full-time leadership role is ideal for a culinary professional with strong operational knowledge, refined cooking skills, and a passion for mentoring others in a high-volume, upscale kitchen environment.
As the Kitchen Supervisor at Polo Pony, you will support the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency in food quality, safety, and team performance. Your ability to lead by example, maintain high standards, and foster a collaborative kitchen culture will reflect the World Equestrian Center’s core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction.

Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise daily back-of-house operations, ensuring all stations are properly staffed, prepped, and executing to standard.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and timing to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Support inventory management, including receiving, rotation, and storage of ingredients.
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety protocols across all areas.
- Assist with scheduling, training, and mentoring of culinary team members.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house leadership to ensure smooth service flow.
- Lead by example during service, supporting line cooks and prep staff as needed.
- Assist with special events, private dining, and seasonal menu execution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and strength to operate kitchen equipment and handle ingredients.
- Clear and effective communication in both verbal and written formats.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in professional kitchens, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of upscale culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in high-pressure environments.
- ServSafe Certification required.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and hospitality leadership.
