Emma’s is a refined, European-style patisserie located within the Equestrian Manor at the World Equestrian Center. We are seeking a reliable, service-focused Shift Lead to support daily operations and lead the front-of-house team during assigned shifts. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within a luxury food & beverage environment.
The Shift Lead will act as the on-duty supervisor, ensuring smooth service, maintaining product presentation standards, and supporting team members in delivering exceptional guest experience.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead by example in delivering warm, personalized service to all guests.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Supervise front-of-house staff during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to service standards.
- Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members throughout the day.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring readiness and cleanliness of all service areas.
- Monitor product presentation and ensure consistent quality and visual appeal.
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking during shifts.
- Communicate supply needs to management to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and POS transactions.
- Assist with end-of-day reconciliation and reporting.
- Enforce health, safety, and sanitation protocols.
- Ensure team compliance with ServSafe and alcohol service standards.
Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, and lift during service hours.
- Active presence on the floor to support team and guest interactions.
- 1–2 years of experience in food & beverage or hospitality, preferably in a café, bakery, or boutique setting.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
- ServSafe Certification preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
