Position Summary
The Registered Nurse Manager is a strong leader and is responsible for the operational and administrative needs of the medical teams for the facility or facilities they are assigned to, as well as direct administrative oversite of other Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Licensed Practical Nurses collaborating with medical providers on the clinical teams. The RN manager ensures nursing practice guidelines and best practices are maintained and followed.

The RN manager ensures nursing practice guidelines and best practices are maintained and followed.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, management, and strategic vision for the department
- Build a consistent culture within the nursing department that enables the work of the department to occur
- Cooperates, collaborates, integrates programmatic work, and effectively communicates with other CrescentCare departments
- Develop and cultivate strong relationships
- Maintain knowledge of nursing best practices that strategically affect the department’s programs and develop plans
- Assist with managing the department budget
- Recruitment and hiring of assigned nursing positions
- Supervising staff
- Overseeing clinical operations and nursing practices for assigned staff
- Training
- Clinic inventory management
- Ensure that logs are maintained according to policies and procedures
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Master’s Degree (preferred)
- A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience (supervising others) – nursing leadership experience required
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- Maintain BLS certification
- Valid Louisiana Driver’s License
