POSITION SUMMARY
The Mortgage Loan Closer will receive and prepare closing loan package necessary for individual loan types in accordance with Bank and Investor guidelines as well as Secondary Marketing commitments and requirements
as outlined by supervisor. Provide information on loan types to customers and fellow employees. Understand the whole mortgage process to properly execute the requests.

as outlined by supervisor. Provide information on loan types to customers and fellow employees. Understand the whole mortgage process to properly execute the requests.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Loan Processing
- Develop and maintain knowledge of mortgage loan documentation processes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all systems & processes that pertain to TRID
- Ensures timely movement and closing of approved loans through pipeline
- Perform basic loan account maintenance, loan servicing, balancing and reporting processes
- Submission and review of proper documents for recording and maintenance of loan files
- Process loan payments, payoff requests, reconciliation of General Ledger custodial and internal accounts
- Complete title insurance, clear outstanding underwriting issues, monitor suspense files, finalize audit checklist, and resolve any missing items from mortgage files
- Responsible for funding new loans and making sure they are set-up on Bank’s core system
- Contacts Title Companies, Attorneys, Loan Officers, Processors and Insurance Companies to obtain documentation necessary to close mortgage loans
- Recommends procedural changes to management
- Ensure account compliance with regulations, policies and procedures
- Complete regulation, compliance, and additional training as assigned
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associates degree required or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in similar job duties
