As a Regional HR Consultant (HR Business Partner), you will provide both strategic and hands-on HR support to facility HR teams and leadership. Responsibilities include:
- Partnering with HR Coordinators, Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and regional leaders on talent management, workforce planning, and employee engagement
- Managing employee relations and labor relations issues, including investigations, performance management, and corrective action
- Supporting recruiting, onboarding, and retention initiatives for nursing and healthcare staff
- Ensuring HR compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulations (OSHA, EEOC, ADA, DOL, CMS, etc.)
- Coaching, training, and mentoring HR & Payroll coordinators and regional recruiters
- Leading HR audits, workforce planning, and succession planning efforts
- Driving organizational effectiveness through change management and continuous improvement projects
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- In lieu of degree: 8+ years of progressive HR experience in healthcare or long-term care may be considered
- Strong background in employee relations, labor relations, HR compliance, and talent management
- Multi-site HR or Regional HR experience in healthcare preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel regularly across assigned facilities in Iowa
- Master’s degree in HR or related field
- PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP certification
- 10+ years of HR experience, ideally in healthcare HR or long-term care
