The Continuous Improvement Specialist is a key leader responsible for driving operational excellence and embedding a Lean culture at the plant level and across the organization. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and supported by the Office of Continuous Improvement, this role focuses on creating value, enabling success, and fostering a culture of growth through data-driven strategies and cross-functional collaboration.

Create Value for the Organization

  • Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities using tools such as Management Operating Systems (MOS), Manufacturing Performance Metrics (MPM), downtime analysis, and Quality Management (QM) sample-level data.
  • Establish performance baselines and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure progress.
  • Lead and execute cross-functional improvement projects that drive measurable results.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure alignment on project impact and value creation.


Enable Success

  • Champion the use of MOS to support reporting and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the implementation and analysis of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) as a key performance metric.
  • Serve as the plant’s Minitab super user, providing statistical analysis and training.
  • Own and maintain tools such as MPM and other relevant systems, offering coaching and support to ensure effective use.


Create a Culture of Growth

  • Lead the QM Sample Level Analysis process to monitor capability and identify areas for improvement.
  • Promote the Learn / Do / Teach methodology by completing Lean and LSS training, delivering plant-wide sessions, and serving as a certified trainer in Lean Leadership and Kaizen


You are best suited for the role if you have the following experience, skills, and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field; Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive change without formal authority.
  • Strong understanding of Lean principles, Six Sigma, and change management.
  • Skilled in data analysis, performance metrics, and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab).
  • Effective communicator and trainer with experience delivering CI-related training.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.


Salary range: $70,050 - $91,950
