Responsibilities
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Work alongside Audiologists to ensure high-quality patient care
- Perform basic tech duties with hearing aids: device cleanings, and troubleshooting issues
- Type chart notes for patient follow-up appointments and walk-in visits
- Hearing aid orientation
- Process hearing aid orders and repairs
- Check-in hearing devices and make sure they are ready to go before patient appointments
- Manage stock of hearing aids, chargers, receivers, and domes
- Sanitize and organize lab equipment
- Input and maintain patient information in EMR system
- Maintain good and appropriate patient relationships
- Exercise confidentiality relating to all business and patient information
- Distributing electronic intake forms and assisting patients in properly completing paper intake forms if necessary
- Maintaining office schedule to maximize productivity, ensure efficiency, and confirm next-day appointments
- Collecting and recording payments
- Answering phones and scheduling patient appointments
- Ensure the coffee station is clean and stocked, and the lobby/workspace is clean and organized
- Perform other miscellaneous office duties as assigned
- Previous experience as an audiology assistant, PCC, or in a similar position is preferred
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to work in fast-paced situations and make sound decisions quickly
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of compassion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with hearing loss is a plus
- Excellence in customer care. Must interact with patients in a respectful and caring manner
