As the Safety Coordinator, you’ll support Meyer’s safety and compliance programs across all facilities. You’ll assist in managing safety policies, regulatory compliance, and employee training, helping to foster a safe and informed workplace. You’ll report to the Safety and Fleet Compliance Manager.


What you’ll do:

  • Assist in developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Conduct facility inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure OSHA and company compliance.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Participate in the safety committee to promote employee engagement.
  • Support DOT/FMCSA compliance and maintain driver and vehicle records.
  • Deliver safety training for new hires and current employees.
  • Communicate safety updates and serve as a resource for employee questions.
  • Stay current with OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations and manage reporting.
  • Help develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
  • Occasional travel to Meyer facilities; some overnight travel may be required.


What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, transportation, or related field OR 1–3 years of experience in a safety/compliance role.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour General Industry, ASP, or CSP are a plus.
