We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Catering Sales Manager.

Position Summary:

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating new business and managing existing accounts to achieve and exceed catering revenue goals. This role involves actively soliciting and securing new catering events—including weddings, corporate meetings, social events, and banquets—while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring a seamless transition from sales to event execution.

What will you be doing most days?

  • Proactively solicit new catering business through prospecting, networking, and cold calling.
  • Respond promptly to incoming inquiries for catering events, providing detailed proposals and pricing.
  • Conduct client site visits and walkthroughs, showcasing the property’s event spaces and capabilities.
  • Create and maintain relationships with local businesses, event planners, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with the culinary and banquet teams to create customized menus and service experiences.
  • Prepare and review contracts, ensuring all event details and client expectations are accurately documented.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure successful event execution and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed client records, sales activity reports, and forecasts using hotel systems (e.g., Delphi, Opera).
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual catering sales goals as set by the Director of Sales or Catering.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive set, and market conditions.

What are the requirements for this position?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in catering sales or event planning, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong understanding of banquet and catering operations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and events simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with sales or CRM systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by events.
  • You have a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements For This Position

This is primarily a sedentary role; however, at times it can be a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.

Travel Requirements

Minimal, occasional travel outside the local area.

Pay Scale: $21.47- $41.63/hour
