Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering field
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or test engineering environment (automotive preferred)
  • Competent in understanding of machining processes (turning, milling, hobbing, shaping, etc.) and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Familiarity with robotic automation, PLC programming, or vision systems
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret 3D CAD models
  • Proficient in data analysis, root cause investigation, and process troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of quality systems and tools (e.g., SPC, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP)Strong problem-solving and project management skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes
  • Ensure all manufactured and assembled components meet critical tolerances per print requirements
  • Collaborate with product and design engineers to ensure components are manufacturable and meet performance requirements
  • Design and procure tooling, fixtures, gauges, and automation systems required for efficient and repeatable production
  • Provide day-to-day support for production lines, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and defects
  • Apply Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools to optimize production flow and reduce waste
  • Work closely with Quality Engineering to ensure processes meet all ISO/IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements
  • Analyze process data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement
  • Support new product launches, process validation, and PPAP submissions
  • Create and maintain standard work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives related to labor, materials, equipment utilization, and process improvements
  • Train production personnel on processes and best practices
