About the Senior Operations Research Scientist

Requirements
- Experience formulating and solving optimization problems
- MS or PhD in mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, industrial engineering or related field.
- Programming experience in Python and/or R, version control (Git), and database (SQL, MySQL) and common data science libraries (e.g. Pandas, Numpy)
- Knowledge and experience with statistics and data science
- At least 5 years of experience using analysis to solve complex problems
- Active DoD Secret Clearance, or willingness to obtain Clearance
- Wiling to temporarily relocate to (or already reside in) Omaha, NE
- If relocating, Defcon will provide a comprehensive relocation package inclusive of temporary housing
- Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques
- Basic data engineering skills (data cleaning, building ETL pipelines, and/or database administration)
- Cloud-based development (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc) and deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)
- TS/SCI Clearance
