We are a privately held manufacturing company based in Nashville, TN, seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This role is ideal for candidates with recent experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong foundation in accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Support cost accounting and inventory management
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to align financial reporting with manufacturing activities
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of recent accounting experience in manufacturing (required)
• Strong understanding of cost accounting and ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
