Role Description

The Project Engineer will oversee large-scale projects within manufacturing facilities, focusing on facility transitions, machine specifications, and technical support for factory operations. The role involves close coordination with production teams and external vendors. Experience in food manufacturing or food packaging environments is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead facility transition projects to ensure smooth operations during equipment upgrades or relocations.
  • Review, organize, and maintain CAD files and mechanical drawings for production equipment.
  • Manage machine specifications, including electrical requirements, PSI, and other technical parameters.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for factory-related questions and vendor coordination.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance) to implement new equipment and processes.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet safety and quality standards.
  • Document project progress and provide updates to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in food manufacturing or food packaging environments.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical requirements, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience reading and managing CAD files.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and troubleshoot technical challenges on the floor.
