Key Responsibilities
- Carpentry Support:
- Assist with framing, subfloors, and installation of decking and roof structures.
- Measure, cut, and handle lumber and plywood.
- Support rough and finish carpentry tasks on remodeling and new build projects.
- Sheet Metal & Fabrication:
- Assist with installing flashing, gutters, drip edges, and metal roofing panels.
- Use basic metal tools and equipment (training provided).
- Help ensure components are fitted and sealed properly for weatherproofing.
- Welding Support:
- Perform basic welding prep: cleaning, cutting, and grinding metal surfaces.
- Support welding and fabrication of custom metal components.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and safely handle welding equipment.
- General Labor:
- Load, unload, and move materials and equipment safely.
- Set up scaffolding, ladders, and work platforms.
- Clean and prepare job sites; remove debris and old materials.
- Assist with roof inspections and report issues to supervisors.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols.
- Wear appropriate PPE and report unsafe conditions promptly.
- Attend toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
- Team Collaboration:
- Take direction from foremen, carpenters, welders, and site supervisors.
- Maintain a cooperative attitude and communicate clearly with team members.
- Support all field operations as needed.
- No experience required - training provided for motivated individuals.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights and outdoors.
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license required.
