Summary/Objective
The IT Field Technician will be responsible for managing and coordinating IT-related activities within the organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations.
Essential Functions
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This role is primarily based at the company’s main office, with regular travel to active construction job sites as needed. The IT Field Technician will work in both office and field environments, supporting staff with technical issues related to hardware, software, networking, and site connectivity. Job sites may vary in location and working conditions, requiring adaptability and awareness of safety protocols. The position involves a mix of independent work and collaboration with project teams, field staff, and vendors. The work culture is professional, friendly, and team-oriented, with a strong focus on practical problem-solving and responsive support. Flexible hours and full-time or part-time options are available.

This role requires the ability to perform physically active tasks, including lifting and transporting IT equipment (up to 50 lbs), climbing stairs or ladders, and working in a variety of environments such as construction trailers or unfinished job sites. The technician may be required to crouch, kneel, or work in confined spaces to install or troubleshoot equipment. Regular travel between office and job sites is expected, sometimes in varying weather conditions. Proper adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential when working on-site.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position may be full-time or part-time. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional work outside these hours when required to support job site operations or urgent issues.
Travel
This position may require frequent travel.
Required Education And Experience
Proven experience in an IT support or coordination role, and basic technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, and software required. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus.

Essential Functions
- Provide remote and onsite technical support and assistance to employees and clients
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT-related services
- Monitor and troubleshoot IT issues, ensuring timely resolution
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and user requests
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT policies and procedures
- Conduct regular IT audits and ensure compliance with security protocols
- Provide training and support to users on IT systems and applications
- Ability to travel frequently and remain eligible to operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for company purposes per Fleet Safety Management policy
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Proven experience in an IT support or coordination role
- Basic technical knowledge of IT systems, networks, and software

- Current and valid driver’s license in the state of permanent residence (must be insurable by Jaynes automobile insurance carrier in order to drive a Jaynes vehicle).
- Must be eligible per Fleet Safety Management policy to operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for company purposes.
