Medical Associates is seeking a full-time Central Scheduler to support our multi-specialty surgical group. This position ensures efficient coordination and scheduling of surgical case across our clinic, hospital, and outpatient surgical center, serving as the central link between patients, providers, and surgical facilities.
This position will require a high attention to detail while working at a fast pace on the computer, phone, and with our patients. Ideal candidates have some experience with office administrative duties, and are known for always providing above and beyond patient/customer service.
Primary schedule: Monday - Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm, working 40 hours per week.
Location: East Campus

Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: From three months to one year of similar or related experience.

- Schedule diagnostic testing and surgeries in an accurate and timely manner
- Conduct pre-certification checks on all patients and forwarding appropriate forms for authorization to the Central Prior Authorization team.
- Communicate clearly with customers via telephone and in person, and relay necessary messages to staff
- Instructing the patient regarding the procedure and any preparation necessary.
- Follows up on all rescheduling patients that have no showed or cancelled their appointments.
