Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities
The Advanced Managed Services Manager for Install Projects will be responsible for managing all new installation projects for the Advanced Managed Services (AMS) team to ensure that projects are completed on time with a focus on client satisfaction. The AMS Manager will lead a team of Security Integration Engineers, Software Engineers, and Managed Support Specialists to support completion of installation projects.
This position will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering with regular interaction with Sales, District Project Managers, District Installation Managers, Program Managers, and other AMS Managers as required.

The Advanced Managed Services Manager for Install Projects will be responsible for managing all new installation projects for the Advanced Managed Services (AMS) team to ensure that projects are completed on time with a focus on client satisfaction. The AMS Manager will lead a team of Security Integration Engineers, Software Engineers, and Managed Support Specialists to support completion of installation projects.
This position will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering with regular interaction with Sales, District Project Managers, District Installation Managers, Program Managers, and other AMS Managers as required.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Mentors and coaches AMS employees and builds employee development plans to align team skills to client and business needs.
- Ensures that the AMS project team is fully productive to drive on-time completion of all installation projects assigned to the team.
- Hires and develops Security Integration Engineers, Software Engineers, and Managed Support Specialists.
- Reviews and approves timecards for team members with a focus on managing overtime costs.
- Prepares labor cost estimates for client scopes of work to enable sales growth for AMS projects.
- Manages and monitors continuous improvement processes and tools for delivery and quality improvement, increased operating efficiency, increased customer satisfaction and cost reduction.
- Coordinates with sales, operations, and other technical teams as needed to ensure successful project delivery and handoff.
- Assists with monthly labor and revenue forecasts as required.
- Drives project profitability by reviewing billable AMS hours to ensure revenue and costs are aligned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on project management for large projects in the electronic security industry.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate with various internal and external stakeholders
- Requires a highly motivated individual with a combination of professional business and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a leader with the ability to communicate effectively (oral/written), interact well with internal and external customers, and demonstrate problem solving skills.
- Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, ERP system (MS Dynamics/Solomon preferred) and other computer and online systems.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task
- Occasional lifting of parts and equipment as needed (up to 25 lbs); ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and operate a keyboard, phone etc.
- Ability to travel via conventional means on an as needed basis and maneuver through client sites and/or construction sites.
