Position Summary
The Marketing Associate position is responsible for providing support, creativity, and expertise for internal and external marketing and communications at Wings Over the Rockies, with the goal of ensuring the organization achieves its plans for growth in alignment with its mission, vision and values. This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and manages multichannel marketing campaigns, including the museum’s brand communication and oversight of website, email marketing, advertising tactics, and signage. The Marketing Associate will be responsible for working with the Marketing team, cross-departmentally and with vendor partners and must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. The person in this role must be a collaborative self-starter who works well within a small, close-knit team, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Founded in 1994 on the former Lowry Air Force Base in east Denver's historic Lowry Field neighborhood, Wings Over the Rockies is a non-profit community organization dedicated to unlocking dreams of flight through exhibits, local events, and educational programming. We are Colorado’s official Air & Space Museum having been recognized by CNN Travel as one of their 20 Best aviation museums in the world. Each year we welcome roughly 160,000 visitors representing all 50 states and dozens of countries internationally. Wings is committed to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. The Museum boasts more than 100,000 sq. ft. of open hangar space full of iconic aircraft, space vehicles, historical artifacts, and more. Wings Over the Rockies is an air and space museum and operates in a 70-year-old aircraft hangar which provides the excitement and heraldry of being around aerospace. Full time hours are expected to be 40 hours per week. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On occasion, work flexibility may be required to support activities occurring in the evening or on weekends and/or holidays. Out-of-town travel may be required on occasion as well.

Website Support
- Oversees and updates Wings Over the Rockies’ WordPress website with back-up from Content Producer & Social Media Manager and Marketing & Social Media Specialist to support both Wings locations’ events, programs exhibit changes, etc.
- Primary point of contact for website maintenance support with outside vendor.
- Manage and optimize website SEO strategy, including keyword research, content optimization, and performance tracking to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings.
- Create and maintain website metadata (titles, descriptions, alt text, schema) to improve SEO performance while ensuring alignment with organizational brand voice.
- Executes the email marketing strategy. Maximizes benefit of our email platform, Marketing database, and campaigns to help drive subscriber engagement, improve CTR, and curate more compelling content.
- Develops email calendar and drafts and schedules email campaigns to Wings’ contact list. Evaluates and supplies email segmentation when necessary.
- Coordinates the collection of content, drafts and sends weekly email updates to staff, volunteers and board of directors.
- Tracks, measures, evaluates, and analyzes email campaigns to draw insights on performance and make on-going improvements.
- Coordinates cross-functional marketing efforts including working closely with internal team, developing detailed project schedules, monitoring project status and thoroughly and thoughtfully communicating tasks internally and externally.
- Coordinates print production of print collateral, signage, outreach display support and other materials for both Wings’ locations while enforcing project timelines to ensure that projects are always delivered on time and follow brand standards.
- Helps with the development of copy and print/digital creative materials for marketing campaigns,including printed collateral, digital and social ads.
- Works with each department and Exploration of Flight on marketing deliverables and timelines for exhibitions, showcases, programs and events.
- Manages advertising asset delivery calendar to ensure all assets are created and delivered to appropriate ad partner on time
- Create and maintain strong communications standards and brand consistency.
- Oversee brand standard approval process, uploading and maintaining assets, and brand credit lines.
- Perform research on competitors and trends, share findings with the marketing team.
- Supports Marketing Director with invoice coding, estimating and budget tracker.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Advanced proficiency on the WordPress platform, including page builds, updates.
- Advanced proficiency in Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
- Marketing experience with a minimum of 3-5 years in coordinating marketing and/or advertising campaigns including website and email marketing.
- Professional experience utilizing various social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Reels, Tiktok.
- Demonstrated excellence in copywriting, editing and written communication skills.

- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Knowledge of HTML and WordPress CMS
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies including social media, website, content email and SEO.
- Experience coordinating and prioritizing a number of projects simultaneously across multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Keen eye for graphic design with attention to detail, creative minded.
- Knowledge and interest in aviation and aerospace
