Primary Purpose
The Operations Manager shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
This position exists to be a liaison between the field (primarily field leaders) and the US Headquarters functions. This person ensures the field has the operations, strategic, and administrative support it needs, while also utilizing best practices and common approaches to provide that support.
Essential Functions
Leadership and Strategic Support to the Field (65% of time)
Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators. (Knowledge of Navigator missions, ministries, and networks preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with staff and providing administrative support.
Technical Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Workday HCM.
Communication & Leadership: Strong leadership, collaboration, negotiation and management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required. Skills in change management and strategic planning.
Education: Degree or college coursework / equivalent experience required.
Compensation Range: $2,600 - $4,100 bi-weekly

Essential Functions
Leadership and Strategic Support to the Field (65% of time)
- Provide operational support, strategic planning, financial analysis, and budgeting for the leadership teams in your portfolio of missions
- Ensure missional alignment with the organization’s Integrated Strategic Plan, and ensure that objectives and quarterly key results are being met
- Connect regularly with leaders across the field to build trust and provide for their needs, goals, and strategies
- Provide quality and streamlined support, utilizing best practices and a standardized approach
- Aid in the reporting and monitoring of staff funding health
- Participate on the leadership team of the field areas you represent
- Be a subject matter expert for the field areas you represent for questions, dialog, and to solve issues
- Travel as needed to connect with field areas you represent
- Work with Field Operations team to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
- Foster healthy partnerships and pursue optimal field staff satisfaction and quality streamlined service and support from all areas of the US Headquarters
- Respond to routine staff requests, providing coordination and support for day-to-day operational needs
- Identify and implement improvements in partnership and process/procedures between the field ministries, Field Operations, and national/support functions, and collaborate on organizational initiatives
- Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation through cross-departmental policy owners and stakeholders
- Utilize key metrics to identify and implement process improvements related to administration
- Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability and long-term financial health
- Ensure legality and conformity to established regulations
- Participate in Navigators’ on-site learning and development events, cultural development and diversity trainings, or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.
- Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization, and other releases as required.
- Submit expense reports, due the 15th of each month.
