About The Role & Program
Join us for the opportunity to intern with ABC Entertainment & Hulu Originals Business Affairs Department! We negotiate deals and drafts license agreements as well as agreements for above-the-line talent (producers, writers, directors, actors and casting directors) and underlying rights, and marketing for scripted streaming programming and broadcast programming at ABC Entertainment. We also provide support for other departments within the company (e.g. development, production, finance, legal), and ancillary activities. We’re seeking highly a motivated individual with a genuine curiosity about entertainment law, negotiation theory, and the television business to join our team.
This is a part-time internship, which runs from January 2026 through June 2026. If selected for this role, you will report to the Vice President of Business Affairs.
What You Will Do
As an intern, you’ll be involved in a variety of exciting projects that will challenge and develop your skills. Projects/work to include drafting deal memos and short form agreements along with playing the role of an information hub by distributing negotiation updates, closed deals, and signed agreements between different departments.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- A strong interest in entertainment law, the television business, and/or negotiation theory/strategy (relevant coursework is a bonus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is a must and familiarity with OneNote is highly desirable
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure
- A detailed-oriented approach, even when processing a large volume of documents
- Shown ability to take initiative and balance multiple projects
- Collaborative teammate who can also work independently
- Demonstrate a high degree of discretion in regard to sensitive and/or confidential information
- Previous work experience in the entertainment industry, and basic knowledge of copyright law
- Completion of one or more years of law school in a current JD program at the start of the internship
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2026 through June 2026
- Able to work 20 - 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm PST
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, California area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
