Position Overview
As a Line Cook at Pinyon, you’ll work at the center of the action in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. From the grill to sauté, pantry to plating, you’ll execute dishes with consistency, speed, and care, ensuring every plate meets our exacting standards. Key Responsibilities
- Execute menu items with precision according to recipes and plating standards.
- Maintain pace and accuracy during high-volume service without sacrificing quality.
- Keep your station organized and fully stocked before, during, and after service.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and ticket flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and stocking ingredients.
- Adapt quickly to changing demands and support teammates across stations as needed.
- Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant preferred (but we’ll train the right candidates with a great attitude).
- Previous experience as a prep cook in a high-volume or fast-paced kitchen preferred.
- Strong knife skills and basic culinary knowledge.
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and proactive.
- Physical stamina: able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
