Position Overview

As a Line Cook at Pinyon, you’ll work at the center of the action in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. From the grill to sauté, pantry to plating, you’ll execute dishes with consistency, speed, and care, ensuring every plate meets our exacting standards. This role demands focus, teamwork, and a passion for culinary craft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute menu items with precision according to recipes and plating standards.
  • Maintain pace and accuracy during high-volume service without sacrificing quality.
  • Keep your station organized and fully stocked before, during, and after service.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and ticket flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, and stocking ingredients.
  • Adapt quickly to changing demands and support teammates across stations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant preferred (but we’ll train the right candidates with a great attitude).
  • Previous experience as a prep cook in a high-volume or fast-paced kitchen preferred.
  • Strong knife skills and basic culinary knowledge.
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and proactive.
  • Physical stamina: able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
