Title: Food Technologist (Entry Level)

Employment Type: Direct Hire, Non-Exempt

Location: Hoffman Estates, IL

Salary: $45,000/year

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

I. General Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the R&D Managers, the

person in this position is responsible for carrying out new product development

including; developing samples, setting up tasting sessions, evaluating ingredients,

preparing correspondence and quality assurance and technical services

duties; preparing various documents as well as supporting any other R&D, and

quality functions as necessary.

Essential Job Requirement

Education

  • Bachelor of Food Science/Food Engineering/Biology/Nutrition

Experience

  • Entry level or 1-2 years working experience for Product

Development or Quality Control / Assurance in food industries.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the person in this

position is regularly

required to sit and talk or listen in order to give or receive

direction. The person in this position frequently is required to use hands to

finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms in order to handle documents,

to use computer equipment, etc. The person in this position is

occasionally required to stand and/or walk in order to interact with others.
