Description

TeleSolv Consulting has an immediate opportunity to work with the Federal Government as a Records Examiner.

This is an ONSITE position based in Washington, DC. This position specifically relates to the examination of forfeiture and government electronic seizure files. Prior experience with forfeiture and data extract is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input data extract/retrieve data and run required reports in the asset tracking system Government database.
  • Prepare advertising orders and seizure notice letters for all administrative forfeiture actions.
  • Track all letters/documents sent via commercial carrier to ensure that tracking is captured.
  • Prepare petition receipt letters, petition decision letters, investigation memos, as well as claim letters upon receipt of filed petitions or claims.
  • Review case files for declaration of administrative forfeiture ensuring that all interested parties were successfully noticed, and that the internet advertisement was posted to forfeiture.gov.
  • Create and send miscellaneous letters as needed using templates provided by the Government.
  • Reconcile inconsistencies in the type or substance of the data entered into the Government database.
  • Maintain physical and electronic seizure files, reconciling inconsistencies, gathering and organizing documentation in the seizure file.
  • Analyze and interpret documentation in the seizure file to ensure that seizure and asset data is entered correctly into the Government database.
  • Report findings of errors or inconsistencies in seizure files or data entered in the Government database verbally or in writing.
  • Review seizure files prior to closing to ensure that the file is complete and accurate.
  • Drafts and prepare letters using templates as guides.
  • Other duties as mission needed and within the scope of this contract.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Current Public Trust or the ability to pass a public trust background check timely
  • Minimum Education: Associate degree or two years of data analysis work experience that demonstrates records management (along with a High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Minimum Years of experience: On year of general work experience
  • Minimum required skills:
    • Analytical Skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills

Background Investigation:


This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
