Our client, a leading organization in the electrical utilities industry, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Process and review recurring accounting transactions including invoices, remittances, and customer payments with attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Support internal and external customer inquiries by preparing accurate and timely responses to data requests.
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth accounting operations.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment while managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent education AND 6 months to 1 year of experience in administrative or clerical roles preferred. ; Associate Degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
- 2 years of post-high school experience working with accounting transactional data and invoice processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, while maintaining strong organization, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds when working in the Remittance Processing department.
