Job Summary: The Project Engineer will be the primary point on a variety of highly visible and critical projects for the organization. This position requires a high level of organization to lead team members in the development and production of deliverables that meet Global E&U’s high-quality standards. The Project Engineer role will be seen as a technical thought leader amongst peers while participating in many facets of the construction process, such as general construction management.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer role will be seen as a technical thought leader amongst peers while participating in many facets of the construction process, such as general construction management.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
- Participate in regular meetings with leadership to review progress, discuss concerns, and identify successes.
- Participate in project-specific planning, design, construction, and milestones through completion.
- Lead the project delivery by delegating technical/design tasks and coaching those involved.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor progress to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and successful project execution.
- Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Lead QA/QC processes for projects and advise on necessary team-wide changes.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on reports, plans and specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
- Implement team specific project delivery processes such as work breakdown structures.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and experience through knowledge transfer to members of the team.
- Proactively communicate complex issues and solutions.
- A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of professional liability, quality procedures, and other engineering/technical skills.
- Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and the latest industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working in a team environment and handling client interactions professionally.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, walk, stand; Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- This position requires in-person work.
