Qualifications You'll Need

  • Education (one of the following):
    • Infant Toddler Credential/CDA
    • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (with 18 ECE credits)
  • Strong understanding of Early Childhood Development theory
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Experience in multicultural environments (preferred)
  • Ability to obtain Registry Certificate within 90 days
What You'll Do

As an Early Head Start Teacher, you'll create a nurturing environment for children ages 0-3 by:

  • Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Providing responsive primary care for infants and toddlers
  • Creating safe, clean, and culturally responsive learning spaces
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements and Early Head Start Standards
  • Supporting each child's unique cultural background and learning style
  • Promoting social-emotional development and resilience
  • Challenging deficit-based narratives about children and families
