Job Summary: The Training Master Scheduler will serve as the central coordinator for all training conducted by NCTC Gulfport, including on-site and off-site training requirements. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring courses, ensuring compliance with directives from the Center for Seabees and Facilities Engineering (CSFE) and the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC). The Scheduler will manage course rosters, facility assignments, training aids, and serve as the single point of contact for scheduling matters across all “A”, C1, D1, F1, and G1 training pipelines.

- Training Coordination & Scheduling
- Coordinate all training events at NCTC Gulfport and off-site facilities.
- Draft, update, and publish weekly and long-range training schedules.
- Serve as primary liaison for CSFE and NETC on class counts, instructional areas, class sizes, and scheduling dates.
- Ensure classroom and laboratory facilities are available and equipped with required training aids.
- Course & Records Management
- Maintain and update NITRAS, CETARS, and Master Course Reference Files in compliance with NCTC, NETC, and CSFE directives.
- Manage student rosters, class quotas, and course enrollments.
- Ensure compliance with training instructions, directives, and quota reservation policies.
- Maintain records and data pertaining to all courses of instruction.
- Communication & Liaison
- Act as the single point of contact for all “A”, C1, D1, F1, and G1 courses.
- Respond to course-related correspondence, phone inquiries, and visitor requests.
- Coordinate with NCTC Gulfport Company Commanders, course coordinators, NCG2, and tenant NMCB training personnel.
- Conduct and lead weekly scheduling meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conflict Resolution & Metrics
- Identify scheduling conflicts, recommend resolutions, and implement approved solutions.
- Prepare monthly metrics briefs and scheduling utilization reports for leadership.
- Support the Business/Financial Management Department Head with command-level training data.
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Training, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in training coordination, scheduling, or program support (military training environment preferred).
- Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Navy training systems such as NITRAS and CETARS (or similar training resource management systems).
- Ability to analyze scheduling needs, anticipate conflicts, and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and commands.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Clearance & Other Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (if required by command).
- Familiarity with Navy training pipelines and directives is highly desirable.
Work Environment
- Position is primarily office-based at NCTC Gulfport with some coordination across off-site facilities.
- Requires frequent interaction with command leadership, instructors, and training staff.
