Position Overview: This position works with the Camp Travis Director and Camp Travis Men’s Director during the summer months at our Lake Travis property in Spicewood, Texas to successfully execute T Bar M’s Camp Travis, leading a group of college-aged female summer staff in the facilitation of our overnight camp for middle and high school-aged campers. During the school year, this position will work at our New Braunfels, Texas property with all of the Camp Directors to recruit summer staff by traveling to colleges and universities around the country to meet potential staff, following up on those conversations, hiring staff, and planning for the summer ahead.

Key Duties

  • Gives Leadership to Camp Travis (CT) summer staff and campers
    • Summer staff responsibilities:
      • Hire, train, lead, evaluate, and disciple female summer staff Leadership and Coaches
      • Problem solve and interface with summer staff
      • Oversee the development and investment into CT Leadership Team gals
      • Responsible for girl's summer staff Bible study program
      • Actively participate in staff follow-up communications
    • Camper responsibilities:
      • Problem solve/interface with female campers on a daily basis during camp
      • Be a liaison between campers and parents with specific issues addressed at camp
      • Actively participate in camper follow-up communications (postcards, special events, etc.)
    • Give oversight to, assess, and report camper and staff evaluations
    • Responsible for camper and staff daily schedules
    • Actively participate on Recruiting Trail for college staff
    • Support the leadership of the Camp Travis Director
  • Provides Leadership to CT Summer Programs:
    • Manage First Fruit curriculum development
    • Manage summer activity and staff schedules
    • Manage Rio operations and product ordering
    • Assist in logistics/interaction with parents on Opening and Closing Day
    • Print/Oversee Summer Opening Day paperwork and reports
    • Direct the accumulation of Summer Camp Keepers
    • Manage summer scholarship program
  • Maintains active role in T Bar M Camps activities (including but not limited to):
    • Co-lead sponsored retreats
    • Support T Bar M Camps special events
    • Participate in all organizational meetings and training sessions
    • Assist Program Creative with off-season program planning and implementation
    • Upkeep with off-season social media with camper groups by graduating class and staff

  • Education/Experiences
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Two years of work experience beyond college preferred
Compensation: Compensation for the Camp Travis Women's Director position will be competitive with the market for similar roles and responsibilities and includes CCG’s competitive insurance and benefits package.

Center for Christian Growth, Inc. (CCG), d/b/a T Bar M and T Bar M Camps, is a 501(c)3 public charity, headquartered in New Braunfels, Texas. CCG operates a retreat/conference center, multiple camps—youth, teen and family camps—in New Braunfels, at Lake Travis near Austin and at select Texas cities (mobile day camps known as Discover252). During the school year, CCG is host to various organizations, associations, churches, companies as well as rental groups from schools, churches, and other organizations seeking Christian education in outdoor retreat settings. CCG also operates a discipleship training program for a select group of recent college graduates. CCG is governed by a Board of Trustees.
