Reporting to the Director of Development, Premium (DOD), the Assistant Director, Premium will work collaboratively with leadership to create, strategize, and provide support in the planning, execution, and growth of premium seating across multiple sports. The Assistant Director, Premium focuses predominantly on premium ticket sales, customer service, ticket operations, and season ticket holder/donor communications. The Assistant Director will be responsible for driving commitments from individuals, corporations, and foundation partnerships. The Assistant Director will identify, cultivate, and steward prospects and ticket holders, with an eye toward building premium seating revenue, developing new donors as well as enhancing relationships with current donors.

Essential Functions

  • Perform all premium sales, customer service, and retention functions across multiple sports
  • Actively solicit prospects/donors and meet mutually established goals/targets
  • Help oversee R Fund premium seating areas including but not limited to Provident Bank Stadium Club, Courtside and Matside Seating, and Men’s Basketball Hospitality
  • Work collaboratively with leadership to define and execute premium sales strategies, identify opportunities for growth, present solutions, and implement initiatives
  • Support communication and collaboration efforts with internal and external stakeholders
  • Successfully execute and implement all sales strategies and ticket holder communication
  • Fulfill all ticket operations functions including buying on tickets, mobile delivery, inventory management, etc.
  • Act as an R Fund liaison for the ticket operations and ticket sales teams
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain high professional standards and procedures for the execution of events
  • Work within the RUF prospect management and tracking system, following all protocols
  • Demonstrate an ability to operate autonomously and identify new prospects
  • Demonstrate strong relationship building, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Assist with strategy development, projects, and proposals
  • Begin leading strategy sessions
  • Responsible for operational tasks for the project/program/program
  • Help to collaborate, strategize and execute premium ticketing initiatives as well as assist with communication plans to increase revenue, participation, and commitments from one of the most loyal fan bases in college athletics

Education And/or Experience

Bachelor's degree and/or 3+ years of professional experience in ticket sales, customer service, and/or ticket operations, or related fields.

Working Conditions

This position requires clarity of focus while juggling complex projects or deadlines with little physical effort. Will work evenings, weekends, or odd hours to meet resource-raising commitments. Typical working conditions with an absence of disagreeable elements. This position requires some early mornings and late evenings to accommodate meetings, travel, events, and external constituents’ schedules.

Workplace Arrangements

This is classified as an office-centric hybrid position. Colleagues working under an office-centric hybrid arrangement have a primary workstation in a university or foundation location and are in the office between one and five days a week. The frequency with which they are present in the office depends on their role and function and the interdependency of other functions.

Compensation And Benefits

The position is budgeted at a starting salary of $84,000/year. Final offers are based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and other job-related reasons for the role. In addition to salary, Rutgers University Foundation offers:
