Become a part of our talented deugro team, as we look for a Pricing Coordinator in The Woodlands (Houston), USA.


Key responsibilities:

  • Understands and has full knowledge of international freight forwarding including local pick-up or inland transportation, booking, document preparation, port handling, ocean and air transportation, customs clearance and delivery.
  • Calculates rates and price conversions.
  • Converts and verifies shipment weight and volume.
  • Uses rate charts to convert foreign currency to U.S. Dollars and vice-versa.
  • Communicates by e-mail, telephone and fax with foreign operations and local customers.
  • Possess excellent time management skills and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight timelines
  • Customer service responsibilities include maintaining communication with vendor, shipper, customer, carrier and deugro overseas offices throughout the process and choosing proper routing appropriate to the customer's needs.
  • Preparing quotations to clients, overseas offices and international agents for air, ocean, export, import, and overland transport as best suited for the cargo.
  • Keep all rate and service contracts, port tariffs etc. on file in an organized manner.
  • Keep quote log and follow up with quotes.
  • Responsible for reports as needed and requested by management.



Skills, knowledge and expertise:

  • Fundamental knowledge and competence in land (rail & heavy haul) and sea modes of transportation as well as port tariffs. Some basic air & brokerage knowledge.
  • Good working knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities, seaport.
  • Possess knowledge and/or awareness of risk factors and be familiar with basic measures to manage and mitigate risk.
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. Federal Regulations (i.e. DOT, FAA, FMC, EAR, ITAR, FCPA, Hazmat) and other government agency requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; and PC skills.
  • IMO or IATA DGR training preferred
