We are seeking a Propulsion Engineer to design, develop, and deliver innovative propulsion hardware for our next-generation spacecraft. This role offers the opportunity to own propulsion components and assemblies throughout their lifecycle, from design concepts through qualification and flight. You will work hands-on in a dynamic environment, collaborating across disciplines to enable mission success.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

  • Generate 3D models and detailed drawings for propulsion components and assemblies.
  • Perform design, analysis, and development tasks for propulsion subsystems.
  • Own hardware from concept through manufacturing, test, and on-orbit operations.
  • Validate designs through build and qualification, ensuring manufacturability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians across mechanical, fluids, electrical, software, test, and production disciplines.
  • Interface with key suppliers and vendors to support hardware delivery.

What It Takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design and development experience in industry.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design, materials, and thermodynamics.
  • CAD proficiency, with practical application of GD&T.
  • Experience designing for manufacturability, including machining, assembly, and testing.
  • Demonstrated success in rapid design–build–test hardware cycles.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Direct design and development experience with aerospace mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with FEA or related analysis tools.
  • Experience with electric propulsion technologies or plasma physics.
  • Hands-on experience with qualification and flight hardware.

What You’ll Get

  • Innovation – Work on novel propulsion technologies and help define manufacturing processes.
  • Impact – See your designs fly and directly contribute to mission success.
  • Growth – Opportunities for technical leadership in a fast-growing space company.
  • Compensation – Competitive salary, equity, and top-tier benefits including medical, dental, vision, generous leave, HSA, 401(k) matching, and equity sharing.
