Primary Responsibilities
- Analyzing data to assist in delivering optimal healthcare management and decision making
- Analysis of business requirements required to design and build data extractions/submissions based on flat file specifications
- Ability to aggregate from multiple data sources into a singular SQL table/database that meets data integrity requirements
- Interact with business users and other business analysts to conduct whiteboard sessions, produce wireframes, build out high level designs, and construct detailed level data visualizations and dashboards as part of the full life cycle
- Practice and recommend data analytic solutions and integrate story telling into strong data visualization deliverables
- Investigating data to find patterns, trends and resolve issues with data
- Presents project status updates by defining progress, problems, and solutions. Updates projects plan as required
- Maintains industry knowledge around payment reform models
- Develop interpersonal relationships with co-workers to aid in resolution of client issues
- Report and escalate issues as appropriate to management
- Implement and manage project or interface changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Ensure that both customer and company objectives, expectations and goals are being met
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree OR 3+ years of equivalent Data Analytics experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst utilizing SQL
- 2+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) experience in tools such as R or Python
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare based analytic position
- 1+ years of experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft software programs (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to interpret Clinical Quality, HEDIS, and/or Pharmacy measure specifications
- Accountable Care or Managed Care experience
- Lightbeam Health database experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, complex organization managing multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in high volume workload situations
- Proven skilled in communication, both written and verbal
- Proven solid interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with internal business partners across multiple departments
- Proven excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with special attention to accuracy and detail.
- Proven self-starter with a proven ability to take ownership of job responsibilities and ensure successful completion of all projects and requests
