Software Engineer - RIS

We're looking for a Software Engineer-RIS with recent hands-on experience in ReactJS (within the past 3 years) to help build, maintain, and improve modern software applications used in information-intensive environments. You'll work in a collaborative team environment, contributing to every phase of the development lifecycle—from design and development to testing and deployment.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a full-stack .NET environment, is passionate about clean code, and enjoys solving real-world business problems with modern web technologies like React, C#, and SQL.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust web, server, desktop, and database software applications
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop scalable solutions
• Write and maintain modern, clean, and efficient code in ReactJS, C#, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL
• Participate in all phases of development, including planning, estimation, design, implementation, and code review
• Write and execute unit, integration, and system tests
• Collaborate with QA and support teams to ensure software quality
• Troubleshoot and optimize performance in applications and databases
• Lead mid-size projects and mentor junior developers as needed
• Support production systems and participate in on-call rotation if required

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional software development experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• OR
• 3+ years of directly related experience without a degree
• Recent experience (within the last 3 years) with ReactJS in production environments
• Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL
• Experience working on full-stack applications, preferably in Microsoft environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks or features

Preferred Skills & Technologies:

• .NET 8 or newer
• REST APIs (WebAPI preferred)
• Async/Await patterns
• MVC / MVVM architecture
• Microsoft Visual Studio and VS Code
• SQL Server and SSMS
• Unit testing frameworks and practices
• WinForms or WPF for desktop UI
• Experience with the full SDLC in agile or hybrid environments
• Exposure to performance tuning and optimization of databases or applications

Work Environment

• Sedentary- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. A sedentary job involves sitting most of the time.
