Summary

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Produce Processing Clerks to join our team at our Buena Park, CA location. This role is responsible for accurately cutting, trimming, and preparing produce items in accordance with company standards and production goals. Key duties include handling produce cartons, operating packing machinery, labeling, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Review store orders daily to determine required produce types and quantities.
  • Accurately trim and cut produce items based on designated article numbers and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Transport produce cartons to assigned workstations and dispose of empty boxes appropriately.
  • Process produce by cutting and trimming to company specifications and place finished product on the packing line.
  • Operate label printers and apply correct labels to packaged items.
  • Run packing machines in compliance with established safety and operational guidelines.
  • Ensure the workstation remains clean, sanitized, and organized by cleaning area after completing each item batch and performing thorough sanitation procedures before the end of each shift.
  • Consistently meet productivity goals, averaging approximately 1,800 packs per day (or 1,650 lbs per day), depending on product type and packaging requirements, while ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and food handling procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Basic Qualifications

  • Availability to work early shifts starting at or before 3:00 AM.
  • Availability to support operations on weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods throughout the shift.
  • Repetitive hand movements including grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor tasks.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and twisting of the neck and waist.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs or more using appropriate lifting techniques or team assistance.
  • Comfortable working in a cold environment (~40°F) for extended periods.

Work Conditions

  • Temperature-controlled facility (~40°F).
  • Fast-paced and physically demanding production setting.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and sanitation supplies provided.

Position Details

  • Location: 6338 Regio Ave., Buena Park, CA 90620.
  • Employment Type: Part Time.

Shift Detail

  • Monday - Thursday starts 5:45 am.
  • Friday, Saturday, Sunday starts 3 am (2 days off based on your shift).
  • Available to work up to 6 days per week, including night shifts as necessary.

Compensation
