We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Associate Localization Producer to support both the live operations of an ongoing game title and the production phase of a packaged product. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth communication between teams, maintaining high-quality content, and enhancing the player experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Japanese Developers – Act as the main contact between Japanese teams and our production staff.
- Translate Materials – Translate documents and messages between Japanese and English.
- Support Marketing – Help gather and approve game assets (images, videos) for promotions.
- Share Fan Feedback – Collect and send player feedback to Japanese developers.
- Assist with Contracts – Help with contract paperwork and payment tracking.
- Check Game Quality – Work with teams to ensure the game looks and sounds great in English.
- Create Guides – Make documents to help teams use consistent language and style.
- Mentor Junior Staff – Support and guide junior team members when needed.
- Join Events – Attend live events and help with fan interactions and presentations.
- Work Across Teams – Collaborate with marketing, community, and legal teams on special projects.
- Must be fluent in English and Japanese—able to read, write, and speak professionally in both languages.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 3–5 years of related experience preferred.
- Able to follow instructions and solve complex problems independently.
- Comfortable reviewing and discussing technical documents and drawings, even without prior exposure.
- Able to read and work with contracts, purchase orders, and other business documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general Windows applications.
- Must be tactful, mature, and flexible in a professional setting.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills—able to interpret data and make sound decisions.
- Comfortable presenting information and responding to questions in both languages.
- Able to calculate figures such as percentages, commissions, and volumes when needed.
