Perrill is an award-winning digital marketing agency that exists to power businesses to win online. We are in search of a SEO/GEO Specialist with 3-5+ years of experience to join our team of marketing professionals.
As a SEO/GEO Specialist, you will work with our team of digital marketing experts to help our clients reach their business goals by growing visibility and conversions across classic search (SEO) and AI answer engines (GEO).

As a SEO/GEO Specialist, you will work with our team of digital marketing experts to help our clients reach their business goals by growing visibility and conversions across classic search (SEO) and AI answer engines (GEO).
Core Responsibilities
- Develop “answer‑ready” content: Collaborate with content writers to create succinct Q&A, TL;DRs, key‑facts callouts, credible citations, and clearly dated claims aligned to user questions and tasks.
- Structured data at scale: Implement and validate JSON‑LD (FAQPage, LocalBusiness, HowTo, Product, Article/NewsArticle, Organization, Author)
- Technical SEO/GEO: Ensure crawlability, renderability, canonicalization, internal linking, XML sitemaps, and fast performance.
- Keyword & question research: Expand traditional keyword research into question, task, and “jobs‑to‑be‑done” research using SERP features, PAA, forums, site search, and support logs.
- Content & UX collaboration: Work with clients and content team to optimize information architecture (headlines, anchors, tables, step lists) that LLMs and users can scan.
- Measurement & reporting: Build dashboards for organic + AI‑assistant referrals, track inclusion/citation rate, branded answer share, and post‑click outcomes.
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Use analytics and session data to find friction and report lift on key conversions from SEO/GEO traffic.
- Pre/post‑launch SEO: Provide requirements for new builds, migrate metadata/redirects, validate schemas and tracking, and run post‑launch QA.
- Link earning & authority: Drive high‑quality digital PR and source‑backed content to strengthen E‑E‑A‑T and citation likelihood.
- Client communication: Present findings, roadmaps, and experiments with clear business impact and voice of the customer in mind.
- Technical SEO (audits, crawling, rendering, CWV, canonicalization, sitemaps, internal links, Google Business Profile review)
- Structured data (JSON‑LD) and schema validation
- Content strategy for answers (Q&A, how‑tos, definitions, data tables, sources)
- Question/intent research with deep search intent; beyond head terms
- Question mining – turn Reddit and other forum threads into structured content briefs and FAQ/HowTo modules on owned pages.
- LLM citation literacy – understanding which platforms are frequently cited and how to format content to be quotable.
- Analytics (GA4, GSC, Looker Studio) and measurement design; GTM proficiency
- Bing Webmaster Tools & IndexNow operational experience
- CMS familiarity (WordPress, Shopify, SquareSpace, BigCommerce, Magento)
- Site crawling tools (Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Etc) and QA workflows
- Backlink/Digital PR with emphasis on quality and originality
- Heatmapping and session recording tools like Clarity, Hotjar, Lucky Orange, or similar
- Cross‑functional collaboration in an agency setting
