Responsible for ensuring consistent quality of production by enforcing solid automated quality practices and systems, validating those processes and providing documentation. This position supervises employees, tasks, and duties related to quality control.
- 1st Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday
- Pay Starting: $25-26/hr
- Supervise and coordinate incoming, in-line, and final quality control testing and processes.
- Perform quality audits by assuring products and processes meet required customer and internal quality standards and requirements.
- Conducts visual and physical inspections of company products and materials.
- Analyze data, generate reports, and provide recommendations for improvement to enhance overall product or service quality.
- Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
- Train and mentor quality control staff, providing ongoing coaching, development opportunities and department procedures.
- Communicate with customers and internal management to provide updates and address any concerns or issues.
- Provide training to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements, meeting both company and audit specifications.
- Engages in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
- All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
- 2+ years of Quality leadership experience, preferably in a Distribution/Warehouse center environment.
- Proficient in root cause and trend analysis reporting, with experience in 5Why techniques.
- Prior experience auditing processes, reporting deficiencies, and drafting work instructions.
- Capable problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities, demonstrating a strategic approach with a focus on achieving results and fostering continuous improvement.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
- Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
- Previous experience in training and development of quality team members, including supervising temporary staff.
- Experience working with UKG and Kronos.
- General knowledge of OSHA Standards.
- Experience with ISO/9001-2015 & TL 9000 V R6.1/R5.5.
- Experience with Six Sigma/6S/LEAN concepts and enterprise telecom experience.
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
